Jayasena Made these remarks participating of the chief guest of the 13th Annual general meeting of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Surgeons Association held at the Head office of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, Battaramulla.
The re-introduction of displaced baby jumbos into the wild habitats is a remarkable task undertaken by the veterinary staff and this task should be considered as a national responsibility done by them. Deputy Minister promised to discuss the grievances, raised by the member with Minister and give solutions to them.
Director General of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, Mr. W.S.K. Pathirathna, Director General of the Department of National Zoological Gardens, Mrs.D.Malsinghe, President of the Sri Lanka Veterinary Surgeons Association Mr. B.A.D.S.Jayawardana, Secretary of the Association Mr. D.B.W.Pushpakumara also participated to the event.
